What Geological Heritage Types Remain in China?

According to its causes and the natural attitude, there are following 6 types of Geological heritage can be traced in China: 

(1) Standard Geological Section

Examples:

Granite Cemetery of Family Bai in Anshan – The oldest rocks of China;

The Proterozoic Erathem section in small Qinling of Shaanxi Province;

Ancient and mediaeval Proterozoic Erathem section in Ji County of Tianjin;

Section of Plum Tree Village in Jinning County of Yunnan Province;

Cambrian and Ordovician Stratotype Section of Dayangcha Town in Hunjiang of Jilin Province;

The Devonian system terrestrial facies and biotic group Protection Ruins in Zhongning of Ningxia Province;

The Devonian Terrestrial Facies Section in Qujing of Yunnan Province;

The Devonian and Carboniferous Period Section of Nanbian Village in Guilin of Guangxi Province;

Non-Marine Permian to Triassic Period Section of Dalongkou in Jimusa’er of Xinjiang.

Lichi Melange Marlstone Section in Taiwan;

Small Changliang Ruins of Nihewan Basin in Yuanyang of Hebei Province.

(2)Famous Ancient Fossil Site

Example:

Zhoukoudian Peking Man Sites;

Fauna Fossil Site in Chengjiang of Yunnan Province;

Petrified Wood Forest Wonder of Kelamaili in Qitai County of Xinjiang;

Shanwang Miocene Paleontology Site in Shandong Province;

Amber with Insects Site of Meitian in Fushun of Lianning Province;

Late Cambrian Trilobite Site in Tai’an of Shandong Province;

Dinosaur Museum in Zigong of Sichuan Province - Wonder of the World;

Dinosaur Egg Fossil in Xixia of Henan Province.

(3) Geological Structural Feature

Suture Zone of Yarlung Zangbo River in Tibet;

Three consolidating sites of Precambrian strata of Songshan in Henan Province;

Liaoning Dalian Baiyun Hotel Lotus-shaped knob construction; 

Multi-level decollement formation of Ganzi in Songpan of Sichuan Province; 

Folding laminated structure of Xishan in Beijng; 

Shaanxi lantian iron stove activity fault and river intervention;
