The 7th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geopark was held at the UNESCO English Riviera Global Geopark on September 26-30. The theme of this conference is ''Stay healthy, stay positive''. Shilin Global Geopark attended the conference.

The conference was a great platform to bring together representatives of the UNESCO Global Geoparks across the world, scholars, experts, members of the executives board and government officials from all over the world to discuss the geoheritage protection, local sustainable development, scientific research and community involvement.

The conference included academic presentations, geopark fair, and field excursions. Shilin representative Bao Jihong made a presentation themed “Report on the Scientific Research and Science Education of Shilin Global Geopark”and conducted exchanges with the present experts, attracting widespread interest.

Shilin representatives engaged in positive exchanges and communication with other representatives from all over the world, especially with the representative of sister park, Burren Moher Cliff Global Geopark of Ireland, to share experience and practices in geopark building and management.
