The final competition of square dance called “The Dance for Colorful Clouds” was held at Shilin UGGp, under the theme of “The Lifestyle in Yunnan” This competition was directed by Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Radio and Television Bureau of Yunnan Province and Culture Center. China Broadcasting Yunnan Network Co., LTD hosted this contest which aimed to enrich the life of elderly people，promote the national fitness and provide chances for Sani people to exchange with other ethnic groups. Through the square dance competition, we not only appealed for healthy lifestyle, but also showcased the diversity of different nationalities in Yunnan.

Shilin Geopark is a Five A-level scenic spot which represents one of the most spectacular landscapes in China. It is also the best example of natural phenomena around the world and the symbol of colourful Yunnan province. This time, participants got the chance to put on their excellent performances in this wonderful view.

The square dance competition started from April, we adopted the selection method of online and offline, and selected some outstanding dance enthusiasts from county level to provincial level to attend the final competition. Some of the participants have a great wealth of experience, and others participated in the competition for the first time. But all of them love this sport and hoped to perform perfectly on the stage as they practiced in their daily life. Most importantly, they were very creative and used various elements in their dances to show their differences, including some performances involving features of ethnic culture, some promoting the spirit of the times and others presenting the expectations of great future.

Additionally, the host also invited some experts and scholars in the field of health care, ethnic culture and dance. They talked about effective ways to preserve health, narrated some details about our ethnic culture and discussed some dance techniques. We hope all the participants can enjoy this competition and achieve their targets as they expected.
