Pursuant to the government issued guidelines of Yunnan Province and Kunming City during the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Period, and in view of the current progressing trends of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Shilin UNESCO Global Geopark is scheduled to officially reopen to the public on March 30, 2020. To protect the health and safety of our visitors and staff, the Shilin UGGp will adopt measures to limit visitor traffic from its reopening to the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. The relevant matters are as follows.

1. Reopening and operating hours 

Beginning on March 30, the Major Stone Forest Scenic Area and the Minor Stone Forest Scenic Area will be open daily from 07:30 to 17:30; the Naigu Stone Forest Scenic Area and the Changhu Lake Scenic Area will be open daily from 8:30 to 17:00 until further notice.

2.Disinfection system

During the epidemic prevention and control period, the Shilin UGGp will strictly implement disinfection system, regularly disinfecting all the public areas and infrastructures.

3. Ticket booking

During the pandemic prevention and control period, name verification is required for ticket purchase and “one person, one valid ID, one ticket” policy will be strictly implemented. Each visitor with valid ID (second-generation ID card, household register, passport, etc.) can only purchase one ticket per day. 

4. Admissions and related regulations 

Visitors shall show their own valid medical certificates and cooperate with the staff on non-contact body temperature check. Those who show abnormal body temperatures (exceeding 37.3℃) are not allowed to enter the Geopark .  

5. Visitor traffic limitation measures

The Major Stone Forest Scenic Area and the Minor Stone Forest Scenic Area：The maximum number of daily visitors is limited to 18,000.

The Naigu Stone Forest Scenic Area: The maximum number of daily visitors is limited to 5,000.

The Changhu Lake Scenic Area: The maximum number of daily visitors is limited to 6,800. 

6. Kindly reminder
