Shilin Established Sister-Geopark Relationship with Ningde and Shennongjia

On August 10, 2023, staff of Ningde UGGp in Fujian province, Shennongjia UGGp in Hubei province, and Yimengshan UGGp in Shandong province visited Shilin UGGp in Yunnan province for cooperation and exchanges. Staff members of the four UGGps held a meeting in the Shilin Visitor Center. ZHAO Xiaomei, director of Shilin Geopark Administrative Bureau, made a speech to welcome the delegation, and gave a brief introduction to the Shilin Geopark.
At the meeting, representatives of the four geoparks carried out in-depth exchanges on Geopark building, popular science education, and how to promote local economy by geotourism.
At the meeting, Shilin signed sister-geopark relationship agreements with Ningde and Shennongjia for further exchanges and cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation of Ningde, Shennongjia and Yimengshan made a field trip to Shilin Geopark, and experienced the stunning karst landscape and unique Yi ethnic culture.
