Delegation of Danxiashan Administrative Committee  from Shaoguan city, Guangdong province recently visited Shilin geopark and carried out investigation activities and exchanges.

During the two-day visit, Danxiashan delegation visited Shilin Visitor Center, Stone Forest Scenic Area and the farmhouse hotels in the First Village of Yi People. During the visit, delegates of Shilin Global Geopark Administrative Bureau and Danxiashan Administrative Committee made in-depth discussions on global tourism development, geopark construction, farmhouse hotel industry and tour guide management.

Both Shilin and Danxiashan are members of the first batch of UNESCO Global Geoparks. During this visit, both sides exchanged and shared much in the fields of geopark management experience, opportunities and problems both facing on global tourism development, the roles that geoparks play in science popularization, how to develop characteristic tourism industry. Both side reached consensus and agreed to boost mutual exchanges and communications in the future.
