Stone Forest Scenic Area in Yunnan Province and Wudalianchi Scenic Area in Heilongjiang Province established Sister Parks Relationship. Agreement of Sister Parks Relationship was singed by senior managerial personnel from both parks in International Conference Center of Stone Forest Visitor Center on 3rd April, establishing bilateral partner cooperation relationship.
Stone Forest is karst geological landform known as "Karst Geological Museum" while Wudalianchi is volcano geological landscape renowned as "natural volcano museum". The two parks share similarities in that they are both global geoparks and China National AAAAA Scenic Areas. The two parks will carry out cooperation and communication in geological relic protection, geological science education, sustainable development, scientific research and achievements sharing, personnel training, tourism and network development sharing, which plays an important role in promoting protection, construction and development of global geoparks.
